Designing the sketch of a canyon

You may use the following symbols to design a map of a canyon. It’s easy : first you draw the map, then you open a picture editor and you choose an image by a right-click, copy and paste. You can also download the diagrams presented below

The actual process can vary from one editor to another. With Microsoft Paint, the Windows picture editor, the process is as follows:  

-Once you have selected and copied (“Ctrl C”) the symbol onto a white page, you paste (“Ctrl V”) it onto an A4 format drawing (21 x 29 cms), then you start drawing the map. You can either paste these symbols or design your own.

- When you have finished the sketch, you can erase the list of symbols, leaving just the drawing, which you can move around until you are satisfied with its placement. Save the sketch in GIF format, which is the most economical in terms of space (“Save as”). You can also reduce the size of the sketch.

- The last step is to send us an e-mail with the map as an attachment, plus all relevant canyon data, and we incorporate it into the website.
